1. Turn off printer
2. Hold down Resume button and press Power button.
3. Keep holding down Power button and let Resume button go.
4. Press Resume button 2 times then let BOTH buttons go.
5. Green lights will flash and then stop blinking.
6. When green lights are solid, press the Resume button 4 times.
7. Press the Power button and the printer should turn off, if not,
press the Power button once more.
8. Your printer should respond as normal.

New Windows 8 and Printer driver software availability problems

Consumer preview versions of Microsoft Windows 8 are now available.  We can all get a glimse of what to expect in the latest version of the operating system giant.  Most of our interested will be focused on its level of integration with existing devices, in particular printers.
Upgrading to the latest version may prompt consumers to also upgrade their printer hardware, and because it could be several months before new driver software becomes available for all models; when it does, what type of compatibility problems will be encountered? Hardware may be rendered unusable until solutions are found?  No compatible driver for my printer under Windows 8 errors could be common-place.
Fortunately Microsoft have re-designed the printer driver model version 4 v4 so that when Windows 8 detects a new device the Microsoft auto search feature automatically searches for the best driver and downloads it from the Windows Metadata Information Store (WMIS).  There is also a manual search option to be found under Control Panel > Devices and Printers for you to select Advanced Printer Setup which allows you to find a local or network printer manually .  Unfortunately even if you do find the correct printer driver you may suffer from operational problems.  Jobs may be frozen in a print queue for example and require a system re-boot.  These sort of problems are to be expected as this is only a Beta version of the operating system.  The full commercial version is not due to be released until September / October 2012.
With the vastly increased ownership of tablet and mobile smartphones, wireless connectivity is becoming a real must, and no longer a bonus feature.  Windows 8 offers far greater integration with mobile, touchscreen devices, and metro style apps via v3 and v4 printer driver model, and printer manufacturers are using these new features and benefits to promote and sell their products.  Important factors that are prompting consumers to upgrade their printer hardware this year!
I must be getting too old and stuck in my ways to welcome or accept change because I am still using Windows XP!  I have resisted the temptation to adopt Vista or Windows 7 on my own PCs and Laptop.  XP works, and works well on a daily basis.  I cannot see the point in upgrading to a differenent environment; a different planet almost.   However if I were twenty years younger no doubt I would exhibit increased enthusiasm that would influence an upgrade ot two; and then maybe encounter simillar problems to that of braver computer users.

RAM is Random Access Memory( i.e memory reads can be Random) , is faster (approx. 10 times faster than Secondary storage) and all the programs to be executed are brought into RAM and then fed to CPU.

So the focus of this blog will be to use spaces in our Hard disk as if it were RAM (a concept called as Paging in OS). So lets get started

Step 1: Go to Start-> Computer(right click)-> Properties

Step 2: Now on the left pane, under Control Panel Home, click on Advanced system settings

Step 3: Navigate to Advanced tab, under Performance tab, click on Settings... 


Step 4: When Performance Options window, click on Advanced tab.

Step 5: Under Virtual memory, you get to change the paging file size for all drives. Click on Change... button (step 3-5 are shown below)

Step 6: Here you can uncheck Automatically manage paging file size for all drives and set values as per your requirements

Click OK. It will ask you for a restart. Restart your system and we are done!

I hope this helps some of you who are frustrated and ready to throw out your Epson printer
Problems with my Epson printer, the red and green light began flashing and a window popped up, saying, take it to your services center because some parts have reached the end of their life.
Printer companies set a “protection counter” on all printers , it’s an internal counter measuring the amount of ink wasted by head cleaning.

Reset the "protection counter" as well as clean the “waste ink pad overflow”.

1. Unplug the power and USB cables from the printer. Pry open the printer,
careful not to break anything. Use a flat blade screwdriver to pry it apart;
there are two-three tabs at the back and two at the front. Gently push them in,
and then using a bit of force pry apart the cover.
2. Next remove the two (2) waste ink pads.
They are located at the back on the left hand side. I used the flat blade
screwdriver to lift up the ink pads (they were soaked).
Please use rubber gloves as it gets very messy.
3. Next wash them with just plain hot water until they are white again.
I just let the hot water run on them (the pads are about three inches long).

4. Once washed dry them using a hair drier. (you could place it the sun for
a few hours or on top of your heater or maybe in a heated oven; (make sure you do
not set it on fire with too much heat).
5. Once dried place the pads back in the ink waste bin at the back of the printer.
6. Closed the printer cover and put back all the pieces and plug in the USB
& power cable and turned it on. (Yes the lights are still flashing).
7. Go to this link and download this software.want to download software (v4.30)
8. Install the software and run it.
9. Select your printer and model number. It will ask if you replaced with new pads;
say “YES”. Then close the window.
10. Now right click on the SSC service utility, it looks like
a printer icon near your clock in the task bar.
11. Then click on reset counters. You can do all other stuff with this utility too.
12. Turn off the printer power and then turn it on again.
If necessary un-plug the power cord from the back of the printer,
wait 20 seconds. Plug it back in.
13. IT WORKS AGAIN.

In this modern age we are often presented with lengthy terms and conditions that we first have to agree with so that we can proceed with a transaction or contract.

Fortunately most companies will not use this opportunity to exploit their newly found customers.  Sadly though some will include various clauses that remove valuable rights in the future should you be dis-satisfied with the service.  For example, you will be clearly made aware of the length of the term you are signing up for (ie. 12 months), but contained in the small print may also include extra charges.  There may also be minimum cancellation periods.
A good example of this can be found with our franking machine supplier.  When the Royal Mail postal prices change in April each year, the franking machine company will charge you a significant amount of money to update their machine with the new rates.  This charge is not made clear to you unless you read the small print; I call it a hidden charge! In addition every time you add credit to the machine you pay an administration charge, and the machine has to dial up atleast once a month; otherwise it will stop working. These added charges and inconvenience detract from the benefit of the service.
I prefer to deal with honest companies who do not use what I call sharp practices to make their margin.  Only deal with a company who provides clear charges and simple billing that you can understand!

1. Unplug power and USB.
2. Open door and hold power button.
3. Connect power.
4. Close door, then release power button.

3. The indicator (L.E.D.) should be green.
4. Press and release the RESUME button , the indicator (L.E.D.) should be orange.

6. Release both buttons.

1. Reconnect the printer cable.
2.Open General Tools software and select (USB PORT)
3 .Choose (SET DESTINATION 1) And it should be reset.

E151 The thermistor of the head is open-circuited.

E155 The trimmer resistance of the head is out of specifications.
E156 When a specific voltage is applied to the head, the voltage of the
head is not changed within a specific time.

E160 The temperature of the head does not reach a specific temperature

E161 The temperature of the head exceeds a specific temperature.
E170 When the pulse motor for the head scan is driven, it cannot be
detected by a sensor within a specific time.
E171 The motor is not connected to the pulse motor driver PCB for the head scan.
E172 The gate array employed to drive the pulse motor for head scan is faulty.
E180 The motor is not connected to the vertical scanning pulse motor driver PCB.
E181 The gate array employed to drive the vertical scanning pulse motor is faulty.
E182 After the vertical scanning motor is driven, the phase sensor cannot be
detected within a specific time.
E183 After the registration roller cam clutch 2 is turned ON, a given
paper size cannot be detected within a specific time.
E190 RAM directly connected to CPU is faulty.
E191 An error occurs in the communication with the microcomputer (D/A
converter) for high voltage use.

2.    Remove the fan.

Step 1 : Manual Temporary Only

1. Copot kabel power dan kabel USB.

2. Buka pintu dan tekan/tahan tombol Power.

3. Colokin kabel power.

4. Tutup pintu, kemudian lepas tombol Power

Canon MP145 waste ink counter

The method used to is by reset the printer

Error ink cartridges are not installed properly (error E5) :
Step 1 : Push Power switch by continue (Push Power On/Off)
Step 2 : inserrt plug(Hold and Press Power)
step 3 : Push Reset button 1x, Let Power button, Push Reset twice till 0
Step 4 : Push + display change from 0 to 1 (push button + to change 0 to 1)
Step 5 : Push Power switch again , Printer will be print 1 page
(push power button–>start button till 1 page.)
step 6 : Open cover
Step 7 : Unplug power cable
Step 8 : Take out ink PG 40 and PG 41
Step 9 : Insert plug again
Step 10 : Push power switch
Step 11 : Open cover (scan cover)
Step 12 : Inksert ink PG 40 , PG 41 again

These are the step How to Reset waste ink counter (error E16) :
1. Turn off power button (power button is in ),
Press and Hold STOP/RESET then Push ON/OFF button
2. Hold ON/OFF button, press STOP/RESET button 2x
3. Let both of button and printer in to SERVICE MODE
4. Printer will be charging
5. After printer finish charging, ush STOP/RESET button 4x. (Waste ink counter reset)
6. Every time you push STOP/RESET button ,
ON/OFF lamp will change green and oranye.
7. Turn off printer dan and take out POWER button
8. Turn on printer again.

3 times Orange EEPROM reset

E9 = The connected digital camera / video camera does not support Camera Direct Printing
E14 = The Ink cartridges whose destination are wrong
E15 = Ink cartridge is not installed E16 – Ink remaining is unknown
E16 -E19 = Failed to scan head alignment sheet
E22 = Carriage error
E23 = Paper feed error
E24 = Purge unit error
E25 = ASF(cam) sensor error
E26 = Internal temperature rise error
E27 = Waste ink absorber full or platen waste ink absorber full

Reset Counter Canon iP1500 and iP1000

Reset canon pixma ip 1000 is equal to resetting canon ip1500.but used resetter differ. Process to reset both printer is same.
